Detailed Itinerary

Day1

Lake Nakuru
Pick up from JKIA /City Hotel and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park it is famous home to thousands of lesser and greater flamingo. This park also provides sanctuary for Rothschild giraffes, rhinos and leopards.
Lunch at your hotel/lodge

Afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park where you will experience “the greatest ornithological spectacle in the world” with flamingoes sometimes exceeding 100s of thousands of individuals.

The alkaline habitat, acacia woodland, grassland, rivers and inlets with marshes holds residents as well as migratory species.

The park is rich in big games that include the giraffe, buffalo, waterbuck, eland, hippo, both Black and White Rhino, lion, leopard, Spotted Hyena.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 02

Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara
After breakfast drive to Masai Mara which is Situated 245 kilometers from Nairobi, along the border with Tanzania, it covers an area of 1672 square kilometers and forms the northern-most extension of the Mara-Serengeti eco-system defined by the annual migration of the wildebeest, to arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch at your hotel/Lodge. Later, go for an afternoon game drive till dusk.

Day 03

Masai Mara
Masai Mara National Reserve: early morning game drive, thereafter a late breakfast, and relax at leisure. The reserve has the highest density of wildlife in sub-Saharan Africa. It is made up of rolling plains with scattered acacia trees, riverine forest and hills covered with dense croton bush which provides ideal cover for animals sheltering from the mid-day sun. After lunch at the lodge you will have early afternoon at leisure

Afternoon game drive till dusk.

All meals and overnight at your hotel/lodge

Day 04

Departure

Optional Balloon ride at an Extra Cost Normal pick up is at 0600 hrs.- take the opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot air Balloon provided at extra cost.

If you can spare the money, viewing abundant game afloat a balloon is an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast return to Nairobi arriving around mid-day and drop off at Nairobi hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
