RIFT VALLEY LAKES UP TO ARBAMINCH TOUR PACKAGE
The Ethiopian Rift Valley lakes are the northernmost of the African Rift Valley lakes. In central Ethiopia the Great Rift Valley splits the Ethiopian highlands into northern and southern halves, and the Ethiopian Rift Valley lakes occupy the floor of the rift valley between the two highlands. Most of the Ethiopian Rift Valley lakes do not have an outlet, and most are alkaline. Although the Ethiopian Rift Valley lakes are of great importance to Ethiopia's economy, as well as being essential to the survival of the local people.

Drive from Addis Ababa to Lake Langano. On the way, visit the first Rift Valley Lake Ziway, 160 km from Addis and rich in bird life. Proceed to Lake Langano; lunch at Langano. Afternoon enjoy swimming and walking around.
Overnight at Bekele Molla or Wabishebele Hotel.
After breakfast drive to Arba-Minch. Lunch on the way. After lunch continue driving to Arba-Minch through beautiful scenery and the view of Lake Abbaya.
Overnight at Bekele Molla Hotel for two nights.
After early breakfast, drive to the Nech Sar National Park (the weather, i.e rain is a determining factor as the road in the park is very difficult). Afternoon have a boat trip on Lake Chamo to the "Crocodile Market".
Drive from Arbaminch to Awassa. Lunch at Wendogent and late afternoon proceed to Awassa. Rest of the day walk around the lake. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the Fish Market and proceed to Addis. On the way, visit the Abijata-Shalla Lakes National Park which shelters a great number of aquatic birds. Lunch en-route and continue driving to Addis Ababa.
