Detailed Itinerary

Day 01    Nairobi

Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport met and assisted by our representative. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is spent at leisure in Nairobi.

Overnight at a city hotel

Day 02    Aberdares National Park

Breakfast at the lodge. Depart for Aberdare National Park with lunch enroute. Drive through Kikuyu farmland before reaching the foothills of Aberdare Ranges where much coffee and tea is grown. On arrival at the base hotel drop the excess luggage and drive through the forest to reach your lodge where the night is spent watching the never ending pageant of wildlife which visits the floodlit waterhole and saltlick below. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 03    Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast transfer to the Aberdare Country Club to rejoin your driver guide.

Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park.

This drive takes you via the Thompson Falls where you will have a stopover for a photographic session.

Lunch at the hotel,

Evening at own leisure then dinner and overnight at the same hotel.

Day 04     Masai Mara National Reserve

Have an early breakfast followed by check out from the camp.

Enjoy a short game drive as you exit the park. Depart Lake Nakuru thereafter and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous game reserve, the Masai Mara National Reserve arriving at the Lodge in time for lunch.

Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve from 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 05     Masai Mara National Reserve

You may spend the entire day exploring the park after breakfast with packed picnic lunch or enjoy the usual early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s most famous park with an extraordinary density of animals, including all the Big Five.

In July – October, it’s also the scene of the great annual Migration, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, plus smaller numbers of zebra and antelope, arrive in search of fresh grazing from Tanzania’s Serengeti National park in the south.

The predators follow the herds, so this is the best time to witness plenty of animal action, especially if you get the opportunity to see the wildebeest cross the Mara River, where they have to dodge crocodiles, too. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 06    Departure  

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi, Kenya’s colorful capital city. Transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward arrangements.
