Treetops is set in the heart of the dense forest of the Aberdare National Park, near Nyeri town; 280 km Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Treetops hotel is 7km from Mweiga airstrip.
Treetops Hotel, located just inside the gates of Aberdare National Park in Kenya, Treetops overlooks waterholes and a saltlick. It is probably best known as the place where The Princess Elizabeth acceded to the Throne on the death of her father George VI during a visit in February 1952.
Treetops is located very close to the wild animals. For this reason, children under the age of 5 are not allowed at either of these lodges, both for their safety and to maintain the quiet of the environment.
Treetops lies in the path of an ancient Elephant migratory route between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya National park, and is strategically sited right in front of a natural watering hole and salt lick.
